Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We fabricated lensed-taper hollow waveguides used as launching couplers for hollow fibers. The tapered-hollow glass waveguides with a polymer on a silver thin films on the inside were fabricated by a liquid-phase deposition technique. The tapered-guide with the l.4mm inner diameter at the input end,0.7mm at the output, and the length of 10cm shows transmission losses of 0.08-0.12dB for Er:YAG laser.
