Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a loss equalization technique using the carbon cluster-doped thin polyimide film which has a monotonous and flat coefficient at l.55 μm band. This film is able to adjust optical loss of each channels by changing the film thickness. By inserting this film into a groove formed on PLC, we have achieved to reduce the optical loss deviation to the range of 1.0 dB or 1.5 dB on the high-speed optical wavelength selector modules.
