Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As for the generation of a microwave signal and the frequency control, the way of optical heterodyne technique utilizing the semiconductor lasers is described. A possibility of a microwave generation is examined with the fundamental characteristics of the DFB lasers oscillating at l.5[μm]. To stabilize the frequency, a new frequency discriminator utilizing self-homodyne technique is proposed. The frequency fluctuation is suppressed to ±1[MHz]/100[sec] at l.5[GHz] by this system. In addition, a new control system with a personal computer is constituted for purpose of digital setting of the microwave frequency. Using both stabilizing and controlling systems, it was attained that the frequency was stabilized at our disposal value for 1460-1660[MHz] from a personal computer.
