Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a model of an optical X coupler with a nonlinear dielectric straight waveguide and analyze its transmission characteristics by the iterative FD-BPM with the transparent boundary condition. First, we investigate the case where only the signal light is launched and analyze its transmission characteristics for its input power. Second, we investigate the case where the signal and control lights are launched and analyze their transmission characteristics for the input power of the control light. As a result of the analysis, we show the model has a possibility to be applied as relatively low-power all-optical switching devices taking separation of control lights into account.
