Three-Dimensional Analysis of a Cylindrical Cherenkov Laser

Abstract(in English) For a three-dimensional cylindrical Cherenkov laser composed of a dielectric-loaded coaxial waveguide and an annular relativistic electron beam of finite thickness, the nonlinear characteristics and energy transfer efficiency are investigated, with the aid of particle simulation, allowing for the nonlinear properties of the electron beam. In addition, the validity of the simplifying assumption in the conventional two-dimensional analyses is discussed.
