Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We demonstrate a simple method for realizing chaotic behavior using a semiconductor laser, photo detectors and so on. An electro-optical NDFS (Nonlinear Dalayed Feedback System) has been composed. With this system we have observed multi-stable oscillation and transition to chaos. In this scheme, a dynamical memory function has been demonstrated. In addition, we have applied an external light input to the NDFS. The external input has reproducible effects to the oscillation waveform, and a new application to the signal recognition system and cryptography will be expected.
