Analysis of Characteristics of Elementary Optical Devices Constructed by Photonic Crystal Waveguides

Abstract(in English) We analyze the characteristics of two-dimensional photonic crystal optical waveguides. The method of solution is the FD-TD method based on the principles of multidimensional wave Digital Filters. First, we analyze the wave propagation on the square photonic optical waveguides and show the degree of confinement of the light depend on crystal's radius. Next, we analyze the wave propagation in the elementary waveguide devices such as the directional coupler and the L shaped bend waveguide constructed by the phtonic crystal optical waveguide.
