Abstract(in English) A broadband high-power pump unit is fabricated of wavelength and polarization multiplexed eigth laser diodes. The unit is used for Raman amplification in a DCF. The loss of DCF is completely compensated by means of the Raman gain over 50nm bandwidth within ±0.5dB variation. The loss compensation of DCF is applied to improve noise performance of an in-line amplifier with dispersion compensating fiber.
