Abstract(in English) Recent years, laser-diode pumped Yb:YAG laser as a quasi-three-level laser is expected as a high power and high efficiency laser source under very high intense pumping. We have investigated room-temperature operation of a miniature laser-diode pumped Yb:YAG disk laser. End-pumped disk configuration was developed with up to 17kW/cm^2 high intensity focused on an end surface of the laser crystal by focusing optics. As a result, maximum quasi-CW output pulse energy 25.1 mJ was obtained with optical-optical efficiency 27.4%. And we discused the lasing condition using the Rigrod analysis for a modeling.
