Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In high-speed parallel data transmission systems, channel-to-channel skew is a serious problem that limits the data rate and transmission distance, so skew-compensation techniques are very important for parallel optical intarconnections. A new frame encoding technique, called Shuffled mB1C encoding, which is suitable for parallel transmission and require no clock-rate conversion circuit has been developed for the skew compensation. We designed skew-compensation circuits using this technique and confirmed that these circuits could compensate for two-clock-cycle skew as they were designed to.
