Abstract(in English) We analyze a dependency of the phase conjugate reflectivity on the phase mismatch by using the two-wave mixing approximation in the cross polarized four-wave mixing with a photorefractive crystal. We assume that the forward pump beam and the probe beam are ordinarily polarized, the backward pump beam is extraordinarily polarized. In this case, the phase conjugate beam is generated efficiently. But the adjustment of beam angles is so difficult that we must consider the phase mismatching effect. The influence of the phase mismatching on the phase conjugate reflectivity is analyzed and verified experimentally. We indicate that the two-wave mixing approximation is very useful for estimating the phase conjugate reflectivity of the cross polarized four-wave mixing with photorefractive crystal.
