Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Organic ionic salt crystal, DAST(4-dimethrlamino-N-methyl-4 stilbazolium tosylate), excels inorganic materials in its nonlinearity and has very low dielectric constants. We have grown DAST single crystals reproductively by seed crystals fixed method and established DAST crystal growth process. Improving the process of DAST crystals, we could make samples for device applications; electric field 60GHz wave sensor via electro-optic effect and optical rectification. The 2nd-order nonlinear optical coefficient of DAST(d_<11>) is estimated to be more 55 times as lerge as LiNbO_3(d_<31>).
