Abstract(in English) Better conversion efficiency from light to THz-wave is obtained by OPO (Optical Parametric Oscillator) utilizing the polariton mode scattering of LiNbO_3, in addition, this method has excellent features such as wide tunability and small-sized system. Now by new configuration with a trapezoidal LiNbO_3 crystal, THz-wave generation and coupling has been achieved without using coupling device. And this method decreased influence of absorption loss in the crystal, and realized enhancement of radiation intensity in shorter wavelength region. Furthermore, THz-wave generation and coupling has been achieved by OPO using LiNbO_3 wafer for the first time.
