Abstract(in English) | An Yb and Nd co-doped YAG-buried channel waveguide laser on a YAG substrate is prepared using liquid-phase-epitaxy and Ar ion beam etching. The prepared waveguide laser operates at 1.03μm when pumped at 0.81μm due to a nonradiative energy transfer from Nd^<3+> ions to Yb^<3+> ions. The incident threshold and slope efficiency of the 5mm-long laser are 235mW and 13%, respectively. |
