Degenerate four-wave mixing in organic nonlinear optical material

Abstract(in English) The third-order nonlinearrity x^<(3)>(-ω;ω,ω,-ω) of poly[MMA-co-DR1MA] was measured to be 0.9×10^<-12>esu by degenerate four-wave mixing and x^<(3)>(-3ω;ω,ω,ω) was 1.8×10^<-12>esu by third harmonic generation (THG) method. From a discussion about the application to the optical waveguide, it is evaluated that this material is useful as a referencs for measurement of other materials which only thin films are available.
