Abstract(in English) The measuring method of optical pulse using heterodyne autocorrelation is proposed, and practical examples were performed with an external-cavity mode-locked semiconductor laser and with a gain-modulated distributed-feedback (DFB) laser. In this technique, not only the ordinary difference frequency component but also the sum component of the difference frequency and a multiple of repetition frequency is measured. In a case of a mode-locked laser, pulse width, completeness of mode locking, and chirping quantity are obtained in this measurement by assuming spectrum. In a case of DFB laser, chirping quantity is obtained.
