Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The doubly resonant second harmonic generation system, where both the fundamental and the second harmonic field are confined in resonators, is reported so far to become unstable by two different mechanisms: Hopf bifurcation and parametric oscillation of side modes. In this paper, we analyze the system considering sum frequency generation from the fundamental mode and the side modes. and find that the threshold of the side mode oscillation is identical to the critical point of the Hopf bifurcation. We review the the bifurcation of the system and discuss its equivalence to that of the parametric oscillation.
