Abstract(in English) Fabrication of bulk-type quasi-phase matched (QPM) second-harmonic generation (SHG) in LiTaO_3 and its applications for frequency doubling of laser diode is presented. A bulk-type QPM-SHG device with first-order period and 10mm interaction was successfully obtained by high-voltage pulse application using selective proton exchange. Using this device, improvement of SHG efficiency using high-frequency superimposed laser diode and 340nm ultra-violet SHG by frequency doubling of red laser diode were demonstrated.
