Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we analyzed the transient properties of forward four-wave mixing with boxcar optical configuration using finite-difference method. First, time-dependent coupled-wave equations are derived. Second, time variation of phase-conjugate conversion efficiency is calculated assuming either response time of the medium can be regarded as 0 or not, and we compared with these two cases. Next, evolution of each beam intensity inside the medium in the steady state and effect of phase mismatch on transient property are studied. At last, the case of using probe beam with sinusoidal intensity modulation is analyzed and we propose a possibility of the application to high frequency signal processing.
