Abstract(in English) The electronic states in crescent shaped GaAs coupled quantum-wires on V-grooved substrate have been investigated by both the theoretical analysis of finite element method (FEM) and the experiment on photoluminescence (PL) characteristics. The doublet states, namely the symmetric states and antisymmetric states, and the transverse electron states in the crescent shaped coupled quantum wires are clarified. The experimental results of PL characteristics of the coupled quantum-wires are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.
