Abstract(in English) We propose and demonstrate a versatile high-power laser diode consisting of a master oscillator(M0), a tapered power amplifier(PA) and a focusing grating coupler(FGC). To design the PA, theoretical simulation was performed based on the beam propagation method. We fabricated and examined the devices. Stable single-mode MO lasing at 853nm with 10mW output power was obtained. An average power of 32mW (320mW peak power) in quasi-CW operation (duty ratio 10%) of PA was obtained through FGC. Thus we confirmed the FGC-MOPA operation.
