Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It was reported that Blue Chirping appeared by applying DC off set bias to electroabsorption modulator. By theoretical calculation of quantum confined Stark effect of the modulator and optical transmission simulation taking into account of dynamic chirping, we clarified the physical mechanism of the blue chirping and the chirping control tolerance by the DC off set bias techniques. And, we also developed l0Gb/s butterfly type module installed the modulator integrated DFB Laser.
