Abstract(in English) Recently, self-organization process is recognized as an important approach to high quality nanostructures. We describe self-organization phenomenon in a strained InGaAs/AlGaAs system on a GaAs (311) B substrate during the growth interruption of MOVPE growth, resulting in the formation of strained InGaAs quantum disks. We also present the CW performance of an InGaAs quantum disk laser with a ridge waveguide structure and discuss the potential of the self-organized nanostructures.
