Abstract(in English) To clarify the potentiality of PLC-hybrid-integrated optical modules for the application to the optical access network systems requiring high-bit-rate operations of 156Mb/s or over, burst-mode transmitter and receiver operations of a PLC-hybrid-integrated optical module in 1.3-μm-156-Mb/s time-compression-multiplexing (TCM) transmission are demonstrated using bare-chip 3.3V-CMOS preamplifier IC. Good eye openings for transmitter characteristics and instantaneous response for receiver characteristics were obtained. A receiver sensitivity of -32dBm for bit-error-rate performance was achieved.
