Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) 10 - 40 Gb/s soliton pulse in the 1.55 μm region has been successfully transmitted by using a conventional 1.3 μm single-mode fiber with a dispersion compensation fiber. In this paper, experimental result of a 10 Gb/s soliton transmission over 10,600 km and corresponding simulations of 10 - 40 Gb/s transmisison with the use of a dispersion-allocated soliton technique and 1.3 μm single-mode fibers are presented.
