Abstract(in English) | In recent years, there has been interest in nonlinear optical effect applied to optical devices. In this paper, we simulated propagation of optical pulses in the 2-D nonliear waveguide by FD-TD technique. The linear dispersion and Raman scattering are described by a convolution of electric field with second-order Lorentz, and those are taken into the FD-TD paradigm using Z transforms. Then we formulated Kerr effect using Taylor series expansion. Computer simulation shows that if a incident wave satisfies some suitable conditions, the nonlinear effects cancel the linear dispersion, and the wave keeps its shape. Finally we proposed a method to simulate the long distance propagation by shifting the analysis domain. |
