Abstract(in English) We have measured the nonlinear optical properties of GdCa_4O(BO_3)_3 (GdCOB) and YCa_4O(BO_3)_3 (YCOB) crystals, which have been easily grown by the conventional RF-heating Czochralski method. These crystals are non-hygroscopic and chemically stable with good mechanical properties, and their nonlinear optical constants suggest that they are useful as second harmonic generators of a Nd: YAG laser at 1064nm. In addition, YCOB crystal is phase-matchable for third harmonic generation of a Nd: YAG laser.
