Abstract(in English) Fourth harmonic generation of Nd: YAG laser with CLBO crystal, especially the properties of the long term operations has been studied in detail. It is found that the refraction index change near the focul point is occurred when a strong focusing is employed in the fourth harmonic generation. It is also found that this refraction index change can be supressed when CLBO is used at around 150℃ and under reduced harmonic fluence.
