Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cost reduction in optical modules is a key for the implementation and development of the optical access networks. Optical modules based on surface hybrid integration that use V-grooved silicon or planar light wave circuit (PLC) platforms have been investigate. The recent state of the art of the development in the integration is reviewed.
