Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The continuous wave (CW) operation in an all solid-state optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been studied and the results are presented. From a theoretical analysis it was found that CW operation with a low OPO threshold can be achieved in a doubly resonant OPO (DRO) for signal and idler wavelengths. An intracavity frequency doubled Nd : YAG laser as a pump source for OPO was developed In order to obtain a stable operation, the laser resonator was designed using the geometrical g_i-parameters theory, considering the thermal effects induced by optical pumping in the Nd : YAG rod. As a result, from this configuration 11W green output power was obtained using a 5mm KTP crystal. Finally, a 79mW threshold from the doubly resonant CW-OPO with a 10mm KTP was demonstrated.
