Temporal analysis of photorefractive two-wave mixing with phase difference and its application of novelty filter

Abstract(in English) Temporal property of photorefractive two-wave mixing with phase difference is analyzed for the first time. First, equations which describe the variations of the optical intensity and phase difference between two beams interacting each other are derived. It is shown that the phase difference varies both temporally and spatially even if the coupling coefficient is real number. Next, the temporal properties of the intensity and the phase difference in the photorefractive interaction region are analyzed in the case that the initial phase difference is changed. In addition, one of the setups for the novelty filter by the two-wave mixing is shown. In the case of continuously moving image, the time resolution of the novelty filter is investigated.
