Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have constructed femtosecond optical parametric oscillator synchronously pumped with a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser using a KTiOPO_4(KTP) crystal as a nonlinear medium.By the intracavity second harmonic generation,it produces high-repetition-rate femtosecond pulses broadly tunable in the 520-585 nm visible region with one mirror set.The output wavelength is tuned by changing the pump wavelength or the angle of the KTP.When the pumping power is 1.2W,310mW green femtosecond pulses can be obtained with 26% efficiency by using a noncritical KTP crystal. This OPO is a useful tunable light source to be applied in a ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy.
