Stability Study of Passively Mode-locked Semiconductor Lasers with External Cavity Structure

Abstract(in English) Because of the capability of high repetition rate picosecond pulse generation,mode-locked semiconductor lasers are conticipated as promising candidates of pulsed light sourece suitable for industrial applications including ultrafast measurement instrumentation.On the other hand the stability criterions and their parameter dependence are not sefficiently understood yet.The prosent report describes experimental and theretical efforts to clarify them.New observations on the effect of reverse biasing of saturable absorber,effecty of electrical feedback,and undulation of pulse amplitude are given.
