Abstract(in English) We have developed a laser diode side-pumped Q-switched Nd:YLF laser for airborne lidar systems.The c-axis Nd:YLF laser rod,close- coupled 16-fold symmetrical side-pumping geometry and the crossed prism stable resonator with intracavity telescope are employed for the efficient,high power and stable oscillator.The oscillator provides more than 100mJ of Q-switched output pulse energy in TEM_ 00> transverse mode(M^21.2)with over 7% electifical efficiency at the pulse repetition frequency of up to 50Hz.The fundamental laser output is frequency doubled in KTP with 54% conversion efficiency.
