Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) All optical self-routing is required to realize flexible optical interconnection of largethroughput. We make a feasibility study for the optically-controlled photonic switch with a nonlinear InGaAs, InAlAs multiple quantum well waveguide inserted into one arm of Mach-Zenhder interferometer. The switching power and switching time are estimated to be 3.3 mW and 1 ns,respectively. We alse successfully demonstrate photonic switching that enables fast optical signals to choose their own roots in packets.
