Abstract(in English) We have proposed the optoelectronic image rejection mixing scheme as a possible candidate of an optical mm-wave signal generation technique for future mm-wave photonics systems. This scheme is expected to offer a few advantageous features to electrical image rejection mixers, arising from its nature of being free from electrical phase control of mm-wave signals. In this paper, we report on the principle and the performance of an improved optoelectronic image rejection mixer with an optical single-sideband modulator employed. In addition, the results of the fiber-optic transmission experiment are also reported.
