Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fiber-Optic Current Sensor (OFCS) has immunity from magnetic field induced by outer currents. However, if linear birefringence exists in the fiber, noise is induced by such stray magnetic field. We have developed theoretical model of noise induced by stray magnetic field in Polarimetric OFCS and Sagnac-loop OFCS, and formularized the mechanism. This formula is good accord with numerical simulation result. It can be seen that the noise is dependent on linear birefringence and has linear-additive relation to stray magnetic field. In addition, we investigate the performance degradation of OFCS by using the formula.
