Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are stabilizing an oscillation wavelength of a semiconductor laser using the Rb-D_2 absorption line (780.02nm), but present optical communication systems are using 1.5μm wavelength region. Therefore, if we apply our stabilization systems to stabilize the SHG (Second-Harmonic Generation) of 1.56μm semiconductor laser, we can obtain the stabilized semiconductor laser oscillating at 1.56μm wavelength. However the SHG output power is very weak comparing with that of the fundamental wave. We, therefore, tried to increase the SHG output by using the optical feedback technique, which increases the fundamental wave output power.
