| Abstract(in English) | We ehareterized laser beam profiles passed through liquid crystal cells with light-absorption layers. Experimental beam profiles were fitted with those calculated using Kirchhoff's diffraction integral, and determined the laser induced refraetive index change. The refractive index change was also determined, by heat conduction analysis. The refractive index change obtained from Kirchhoff's diffraction analysis were in good agreememt with those from heat conduction analysis. |
