Abstract(in English) | One of the features of photonic crystal is highly anisotropic dispersion. This characteristic may be applied for the wave demultiplexer. We analized fundamental characteristics of the dispersion for two-types of photonic crystal by the plane wave expansion and FDTD methods. In this paper, we consider two type models. One is square lattice and the other is triangular lattice. These lattices are composed of dielectric rods or air cylinders. We simulated the beam propagation in the photonic crystal and discussed about its aptitude for the wave demultiplexer. |
