Computer simulation of scattering of electromagnetic waves from a dielectric cylinder with a random rough surface

Abstract(in English) Many theoretical researches of the scatering of the electromagnetic wave from a random rough surface have been reported from various point of views so far. In the present paper, we generate the dielectric cylinder with a rough surface with given statistical parameters by the computer, and realize a hundred sample cylinder by rotating it by 3.6°. Next, we calcuate the scattering field from each sample cylinder by the boundary element method, and calculate mean scattered power, coherent component, to show how characteristics of the scattering depend on the random property.
