Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many researchers are working on organic electroluminescent(EL)device.Full color display is one of the target to commercialize the EL devices. On the other hand they study hardly about fundamental characteristics of them.In this study, we investigated the effect of insertion of buffer layer in organic EL device. We found that insertion of SiO layer between hole transport layer(HTL)and emitting layer(EML)improve emission efficiency. Also we found that insertion of aluminum oxide layer between anode and HTL improve emission efficiency. We also investigated the effect of insertion of lithium fluoride(LiF)beterrn EML and cathode. We proposed some mechanism to explain the improved efficiency of EL diode by inserting some buffer layers.
