Abstract(in English) AROOW-type vertical coupler filter was optimally designed and low sidelobe and narrow band characteristics were experimentally demonstrated. Using X-crossing vertical coupled structure, the sidelobe was experimentally supressed to -20dB. Introducing a higher refractive index material into the upper channel waveguide, the bandwidth of the filter was reduced from 14.0 nm to 6.24 nm. In addition, the reduction of polarization dependence of center wavelength was theoretically investigated.
