Beat frequency stability of the optical frequency shifter utlized in heterodyne measurement

Abstract(in English) The stability of the beat frequency decides a measurement accuracy in the optical heterodyne measurement.Using the optical frequency shifter constructed with the acousto-optic modulator,we investigated the stability being affected by several important factors.Conclusively,it was confirmed that the temperature dependence of the stbility teaches a recessity of the temperature and current controls,and that a fiber selection,its handling,and its temperature control suppress the fluctuation of the beat frequency,and that a selection of the incident light power and polarization also reduce the fluctuation.
