| 抄録(和) | 偏波変動によるモード不安定性のないシングルモードエルビウムドープ光ファイバリングレーザを提案し、そのシングルモード発振を実験的に確認した。エルビウムドープ光ファイバはファイバリングレーザを構成する際に捻られている。捻られたファイバ中で保たれている右回りと左回りの円偏波は、ファイバリング中に置かれたファイバ型のλ, 2素子によって交換される。この構成によって2つの偏波モードの共振間隔(2つのESOPの共振間隔)が一定に固定され、それによりモード不安定性が抑圧される。シングルモード動作を得るために、共振器内に可変光フィルタが置かれている。遅延自己ヘテロダイン法によってシングルモードファイバレーザの周波数スペクトラムを測定した。レーザの周波数可変範囲は約39nmであった。 |
| 抄録(英) | The single mode Er doped fiber ring laser having no polarization mode instability is proposed and its single mode operation is experimentally investigated.The Er doped fiber is twisted to form a fiber ring laser.The right-hand and the left-hand rotated circular-polarization waves preserved in the twisted fiber are exchanged by a fiber type λ, 2 element placed in the fiber ring.Th is configuration can fix the separation between two polarization- mode resonances(i.e.,two ESOP′s resonances)and suppress the polari zation mode instability.A tunable optical filter is placed within the resonator in order to obtain the single mode operation.The frequency spectrum of the single mode fiber laser is measured using the delayed self-heterdyne detect-ion.The tunable range of the laser frequency is about39 nm. |
