Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Distance measurement by sinusoidally modulated self-mixing laser diode is simplifeed by using a certain distance as a reference point. The distance is obtained by comparing the maximum frequency of the beat signal to the frequncy at the reference point. The measurement is found to be performed with the erro of 0.5% over the disyance from 50 to 300cm without finding afrequency modulation efficiency. The cohherence lenght is obtained from the magnitude of the beat signal and is found to be equivalent to the results by other methods. The maximum measureable distance in the present method is close to the half of the coherence lenght.
