Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investegate multilevel coding and multistage decoding for satellite broadcasting with moderate decoding complexity. Unconventional partitioning is introduced to achieve unequal error capabilities. Two possibilities are shown for practical systems:(i)block component codes with near optimum decoding, (ii)punctured convolutional component codes with single"off-the-shelves"Viterbi decoder.
