Abstract(in English) This paper presents a Time-Division Multiplexed direct sequence SS(TDM-SS)hierachical transmision system,as a 21GHz band wide RF- band digital HDTV transmission system. The band 21.4-22.0GHz was allocated to Region 1 and 3 for the Broadcasting-Satellite HDTV Service at WARC-92.However,it is very difficult to build a DBS system in the 21GHz band with conventional techniques, since the rain and gas attenuation in the band is quite large. To cope with this large attenuation,TDM-SS hierarchical transmission system combined with variable e.i.r.p.system is considered to be effective. The TDM-SS system is suitable for 21GHz DBS systems from the viewpoint of satisfying the regulation of spectral power flux density outside the service area resolved in WARC-92.
