Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, for multimedia communication in a CDMA based distributed local area network environment,a protocol with a monitoring function of the simultaneous user number and two level transmission priorities is proposed. The protocol, referred to as CDMA, PS,assigns a prior bandwidth to stations sending the isochronous information. The monitoring function suppresses the lower priority station′s transmission under congestion situations. Its computer simulated performance is also presented here. The simulated results show that lower priority stations can send packets as much as they can while keeping the prior bandwidth during the congestion situations. The obtained effective total throughput, which excludes the protocol overhead,is 0.56.
