Abstract(in English) This paper proposes and investigates a spread spectrum (SS) system with interference canceller which can realize both ranging and communication between a vehicle and a roadside. We propose schemes of changing variable process gain in order to improve both error rate of data bit and that distance estimation. Performance of ranging and communications was analyzed by computer simulations.
